"All men by nature desire to know" says Aristotle in the first sentence of his Metaphysics. Is the desire to know "natural"? What if it comes out of a wound, and it is one of many responses to these wounds, a type of sublimation? The artist is wounded and works out their fantasy through their work by creating paintings or writing stories. The philosopher is wounded and demands that God, being, history, someone or something to answer for its what they have done.
