I was playing the game Hades, which centers around Greek mythology as the title suggests. Hades' son is the main character who tries to escape the underworld forever and to visit his mother. Spoiler, he cannot actually do so, born in the underworld he cannot survive outside it. This idea of fate and tragedy prefigures the unconscious and desire in psychoanalysis, running away from something, escaping something, while the whole time in your escape you cannot. The main character never even wondered if he could escape at all.
